Ruby Beach, near Kalaloch, WA - looking north. I can feel my whole body changes and relaxes when I stand on this beach and look at the view.

Ruby Beach, near Kalaloch, WA - Where the trail opened up to the beach, we were met with the sight of hundreds of cairns left by people that were EVERYWHERE. They added a bit of whimsy to the natural magic that this beach already had.

Ruby Beach, near Kalaloch, WA - Ruby beach is a favorite beach of mine. There are several large rock formations and sea stacks here. This fifty foot one has special significance to me. I climbed it twice in my life. First in my twenties, with much bravado, drunk. Again in my thirties, with much fear, sober. Now in my fifties, I prefer to stand at the bottom and brag about climbing it "back in the day". (Note the several cairns placed on the log)
